Weekend Preview - NJCAA Women's Basketball
Charlotte, NC - With the 2021 NJCAA Women's Basketball season underway, three divisions of ranked matchups will occur this weekend as teams compete on the court in hopes of remaining at the top of next week's polls.
NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball
A weekend full of ranked matchups tips off Thursday night as No. 18 Florida SouthWestern takes on No. 13 South Georgia Tech. The action continues into Saturday, as top-ranked Northwest Florida State plays No. 16 Chipola (FL) in a Panhandle Conference battle at the Milton H. Johnson Center.
Other notable matchups: No. 4 Trinity Valley (TX) will face off against Blinn (TX) on Saturday at 2:00 PM CT in Brenham, Texas.
NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball
A matchup of top-10 opponents is set in Region 15, as No. 9 Hostos (NY) will welcome No. 5 Monroe-Bronx (NY) on Thursday, January 20 at 6:00 PM. Hostos currently leads the nation in points per game with 76.8 while the Express has been holding opponents to 48.8 points per game, which is good enough for fourth in the nation.
No. 13 Minnesota West welcomes Receiving Votes and defending champion Western Tech (MN) on Saturday, January 20. Western Tech is currently 8th in the nation in 3PT's made per game.
