2025 NJCAA DI Football Playoffs Set With Powerhouse Field of Four
Top-Seeded Hutchinson, Iowa Western, Tyler, and Northwest Mississippi Headline National Championship Chase
Charlotte, NC - With the conclusion of the 2025 NJCAA Division I Football regular season and the final national poll, the NJCAA has announced the details of the NJCAA Division I Football Playoff games.
#1 Hutchinson Community College (KS)
#2 Iowa Western Community College
#3 Tyler Junior College (TX)
#4 Northwest Mississippi Community College
As the No. 1 seed, Hutchinson will host No. 4 Northwest Mississippi at Gowans Stadium in Hutchinson, KS on December 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM CT/ 7:00 PM ET. Top-seeded Hutchinson, a program with a long history of postseason success, will take on Northwest Mississippi, a storied program known for its physicality and defensive toughness. Hutchinson's high-octane offense will face a formidable test against the Rangers' disciplined defensive front. With a national championship berth on the line, both teams are set for a hard-fought showdown under the lights.
The Blue Dragons finished the regular season with a record of 10-0. The Hutchinson Community College football team wrapped up an undefeated regular season and an outright Jayhawk Conference championship. The Blue Dragons also won their 14th-straight game, which ties for the third-longest win streak in program history.
Northwest Mississippi finished the regular season with a record of 10-1. The Rangers closed the season on an eight-game winning streak, including back-to-back playoff victories over MACCC opponents, Mississippi Gulf Coast and Copiah- Lincoln.
No. 2 Iowa Western will host No. 3 Tyler at Titan Stadium in Council Bluffs, IA on December 5, 2025, at 6:00 PM CT / 7:00 PM ET. The opening semifinal features a clash between two perennial contenders. Iowa Western finished the regular season with a record of 9-1. The Reivers features one of the nation's most balanced rosters, while the Tyler Apaches bring explosive offensive firepower and momentum from a strong second half of the season. With contrasting styles and elite playmakers on both sidelines, this matchup promises to deliver one of the postseason's most compelling battles.

The winners of the semifinal contests will advance to the 2025 Credit Union 1 NJCAA Division I Football Championship, presented by Zurich American Insurance Company, set to take place in Canyon, TX, at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium on the campus of West Texas A&M University. The championship will be televised nationally by ESPNU on Wednesday, December 17 at 7:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM CT.
