Molly Simons joins NJCAA National Office staff
Simons joins the NJCAA as the Director of Membership, Internships, and Events
Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA National Office has announced the hiring of Molly Simons as the Director of Membership, Internships, & Events. Simons brings over 10 years of collegiate athletic experience to the association.
Simons joins the NJCAA staff after eight years with the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, IN. Simons served as the Assistant Director, Championships and Alliances from 2015-2020. Simons' primary responsibilities included managing respective sport committees, championship committees, and annual committee meetings. Simons was integral in the NCAA's communication and relationship development, working directly with member institutions and conferences.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the outstanding staff at the NJCAA," stated Simons. "I believe my passion, skill set, and past experiences will be a great fit for the needs of the association. I'm excited to contribute to the organization and help the student-athletes and athletic staffs achieve success both on and off the field."
Simons brings a wealth of championship experience as well after previously serving as the Coordinator, Championships and Alliances with the NCAA. Simons' duties focused on event and committee management while operating the day-to-day responsibilities for women's soccer, women's gymnastics, cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field, rowing, and softball.

Simons has served in a number of leadership roles throughout her professional career. Simons chaired the 2017 NCAA President's Award Selection Committee and served as the vice chair and recording secretary for the NCAA's Advocacy and Communications Team. Simons has previously served as a member of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA), Women Leaders in College Sports, and Pass the Torch for Women Foundation.
A native of Georgia, Simons received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia in Education, Social Studies Education with an emphasis in human geography. Simons received a Master's degree from Indiana University in Public Affairs with a concentration in nonprofit management.
