Softball Players of the Week – Week 1 (Jan. 27-29)
Savanna Cates took home the season's first pitcher of the week award for Division II
The NJCAA Softball Players and Pitchers of the Week were announced Wednesday by the NJCAA National Office for all games played during Week 1 of the season – Jan. 27-29.
State College of Florida freshman pitcher Carlee Lucas and Salt Lake (Utah) sophomore third baseman Madison Sisco brought home the first awards of the year in Division I. A pair of LSU Eunice (La.) sophomores swept DII honors as pitcher Savanna Cates and first baseman Rebecca Skains were recognized. There were no nominations submitted for either DIII award.
