SUNY Delhi and Mohawk Valley Capture DIII XC Championships

SELDEN, N.Y. -- The 2010 National Championships in NJCAA Division III Cross Country were won by SUNY Delhi (N.Y.) in the men's division and Mohawk Valley CC (N.Y.) in the women's. SUNY Delhi has now won 13 men's championships, including the last seven. MVCC has won 10 women's championships, including five since 1998.

Ozzie Huerta of Gloucester (N.J.) captured the men's individual 8k title, crossing the finish line in 27:00.30. Jason Phillips and Chris Burnett of Delhi finished second (27:24.80) and third (27:33.20).

Mary Jo Jakubek of Westmoreland (Pa.) was the women's individual champion, coming in with a time of 19:07.00. Ashley Armand of Bronx (N.Y.) was second (20:09.70) and Savannah Boucher of Mohawk Valley was third (20:18.10).
