Kirkwood’s Cal Sullivan Selected as DII Baseball Player of the Year
Charlotte, NC – Kirkwood's Cal Sullivan has been named the 2025 NJCAA Division II Baseball Player of the Year after an incredible sophomore campaign.
Sullivan takes home the honor after posting an impressive .438 batting average with 92 hits, 166 total bases, 33 doubles, and 74 RBIs. The sophomore Eagle was the national leader in doubles (33) and extra base hits (47).
"Cal put together one of the best seasons in school history. He not only did it on the field, but also off the field. He has been our leader and the heart and soul of our program over the last 2 years! We could not be any happier for Cal to receive this prestigious award!" said head coach Todd Rima.
Sullivan finished his career at Kirkwood with multiple school records. He set a single-season school record in doubles with 33 and a career record of 43. Cal is third in hits for a single season with 92. Sullivan's 74 RBIs this season are fifth all time, and his 122 career RBI are second all time. Cal is also in the top 10 in career hits and home runs at Kirkwood.
Sullivan has committed to play at the four-year level for Southeast Missouri State University.
