NJCAA and FloTrack agree to broadcast partnership deal
FloTrack set to broadcast NJCAA cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field championships
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The NJCAA, the largest national governing body of two-year college athletics, announced Thursday it has agreed to terms with FloTrack (www.flotrack.org) to broadcast multiple NJCAA national championships including cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field.
“Once the NJCAA was approached by FloTrack, there was a tremendous amount of excitement,” explained NJCAA Assistant Executive Director Mark Krug. “The reach and following of FloTrack represents a tremendous platform for our student-athletes, coaches and member colleges. This is a great partnership for the NJCAA.”
FloTrack operates as one of the eight vertical digital broadcast channels under the FloSports umbrella. FloTrack itself is one of the premier running websites online for running enthusiasts. In addition to in-depth coverage with articles, podcasts and more, FloTrack has also provided video coverage for prestigious events including the Penn Relays, Stanford Invitational and Roy Griak Invitational.
“FloTrack is very excited about bringing all NJCAA championships in cross country and track to our audience,” stated FloTrack General Manager Kevin Selby. “Each year these events feature outstanding competition, and our goal is to bring the best coverage to these athletes that are performing at a very high level."
Per the terms of agreement, FloTrack will provide live video-streaming of the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships and the NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. In addition, FloTrack will also produce recorded content for the championships of NJCAA Division I and Division III Cross Country and Division III Outdoor Track & Field.
FloTrack’s initial event with the NJCAA will the 2015 DIII Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships on November 7 in Westfield, Mass. The agreement is slated to go through the 2019-20 season.
