Lane Johnson – Kilgore College (TX)
Johnson began his collegiate career at Kilgore College in 2008, playing quarterback and tight end for the Rangers before transferring to the University of Oklahoma where he spent three seasons. After transitioning to offensive tackle for the Sooners, he excelled at the position, ultimately being selected fourth overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Since entering the NFL, Johnson has established himself as one of the premier offensive linemen in the league, earning two Super Bowl titles (LII, LIX), two first-team All-Pro selections, three second-team All-Pro honors, and six Pro Bowl appearances. Johnson is one of only two Eagles offensive tackles to earn five AP All-Pro accolades. In 2023, Johnson was selected by the Eagles as their Walter Peyton Man of the Year candidate, an award recognizing players who exhibited excellence on the field as well as in their communities.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Johnson remains a committed supporter of Kilgore College athletics, investing in programs and facilities that provide student-athletes with opportunities to succeed both on the field and in the classroom. In 2019, Johnson made a large donation to Kilgore College for the development of "The Lane" Athletic Performance Center, a 3,800 square-foot training facility. His dedication to mentoring and community involvement underscores the positive influence of junior college athletics on lifelong achievement.
