October 17 marks eighth annual NJCAA Day

Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA will host the eighth annual NJCAA Day, presented by eTeamSponsor, on Thursday, October 17 as the association celebrates opportunity, history, and the unity of member colleges, student-athletes, administrators, alumni, and fans.

This year's comprehensive theme, Empower the Future, will center around encouraging others to consider the two-year route through acknowledging the success and accomplishments of former and current NJCAA student-athletes. The NJCAA gives student-athletes the tools necessary for success both on the field and in the classroom while also instilling confidence in them to chase their dreams and reach their goals. The opportunities presented at the two-year level are endless and shining a light on those who have firsthand experience will empower others to consider a two-year as an option.

"eTeamSponsor is excited to partner with the NJCAA in celebrating the great success of two-year student-athletes on NJCAA Day," stated Sean Connors, CEO of eTeamSponsor and NJCAA Foundation Board member. "Through our fundraising platform we have been able to support several NJCAA student-athletes and member colleges and being able to join in celebration on such a day allows for us to extend that support while continuing to build on those relationships."

Student-athletes are encouraged by their community, member college, and the association to reach their full potential. With this year's NJCAA theme of Empower the Future, the NJCAA strives to recognize the opportunities provided at the two-year level and the endless possibilities that NJCAA student-athletes are afforded at this level. Whether athletically or academically, the NJCAA provides student-athletes a chance to chase their dreams, accomplish their goals, and better their futures.

The NJCAA encourages all to take to social media on #NJCAADay to experience the day-long celebration of the association and its members. A number of templates and resources for specific social media platforms to utilize throughout NJCAA Day can be found in the NJCAA Day Marketing Toolkit.

Parker, NJCAA President & CEO. "With this year's theme, we look forward to celebrating all who feel empowered after having chosen the junior college route."  

Last year's theme, A Million Reasons Why, focused on recognizing the endless possibilities that the two-year experience creates while also highlighting the importance of giving and how generosity plays a vital role in the work done by the NJCAA Foundation.
