#NJCAAReplay Game of the Week Oct. 8
On Thursday, Oct. 8, the NJCAA Network, the new home for NJCAA digital content will re-air the 2017 NJCAA DI Soccer Championship semifinal game between Tyler (TX) and Yavapai (AZ). The match included two powerhouse soccer programs and went into overtime play with No. 4 Tyler coming out on top after a late goal against No. 3 Yavapai.
As defending national champions, the Apaches knew what it took to win it all, but the favorable Roughriders were riding on a stellar season with hopes of bringing home another title, something the program hadn't done since 2008. Yavapai's Jose Perez Flores was named to the All-Tournament team along with Robbie Johnson and Carlton McKenzie from Tyler. Led by Mohammad Kamara, tournament MVP, the Apaches went on to win it all to become back-to-back champions, capturing their sixth NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship.
The Tyler and Yavapai semifinal game is the fourth of the reoccurring NJCAA Replay game of the week, highlighting one flashback game every Thursday night on the NJCAA Network. Fans are able to engage and follow along on social media each week leading up to the primetime event as well as cast their vote on the weekly poll each Monday via @NJCAANetwork.
