Bruer Webster receives top defensive honor
Charlotte, NC – Bruer Webster from Salt Lake has been named the 2021 NJCAA Division I Baseball Defensive Player of the Year, presented by the Marines.
The Bruins' second baseman boasted a .987 fielding percentage on 149 total chances. The freshman's glove was on full display throughout the season, turning 14 double plays. Webster's efforts earned a NJCAA Division I Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award as he helped Salt Lake finish the 2021 season with a 33-17 record and as the regular-season champions in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
