NJCAA Announces Addition of Beach Volleyball Pairs Event to 2026 Championship
Charlotte, NC - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) is proud to announce the launch of a new Beach Volleyball Pairs Event, set to debut alongside the NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championship in Huntsville, Alabama, in 2026.
This exciting addition will feature 16 pairs competing over two days in a format that includes pool play followed by a single-elimination bracket, offering student-athletes a dynamic and competitive environment to showcase their skills.
In a move to broaden participation and accessibility, colleges do not need to officially sponsor Beach Volleyball as a sport to enter the Pairs Event. This opens the door for a wider range of institutions and athletes to engage in high-level beach volleyball competition.
Registration for the Pairs Event will open in January 2026, allowing interested colleges to submit their pairs for consideration.
"The addition of the Pairs Event reflects our commitment to growing the sport of beach volleyball and providing more opportunities for student-athletes to compete at the national level," said Marci Henry, NJCAA Beach Volleyball Committee Chair.
More details, including registration guidelines and event logistics, will be released in the coming months. For updates and information, visit www.njcaa.org.
