NJCAA Board of Regents Extends Contract of President and CEO Dr. Christopher Parker Through 2028
Charlotte, NC— The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Board of Regents (BOR) is proud to announce that the contract of Dr. Christopher Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been extended through June 30, 2028. This extension reaffirms the association's commitment to continued growth, stability, and visionary leadership in two-year collegiate athletics.
Since assuming the role in 2017, Dr. Parker has been instrumental in advancing the NJCAA's mission, driving innovation, and strengthening relationships with member institutions and partners nationwide. Under his leadership, the association has experienced record membership engagement, enhanced national exposure, and noteworthy progress in student-athlete welfare and competitive opportunities. Dr. Parker played key roles in adding multiple new sports to the NJCAA portfolio, launching NJCAA Esports (NJCAAe) with the support of Jeff White who serves as Executive Director, elevating the NJCAA brand through marketing and digital innovation, including national televised games and championships.
"At this pivotal time in college athletics, it is vitally important to have a proactive and dynamic leader who has the ability to guide our association through these uncharted waters," stated NJCAA Board of Regents Chairman Mr. Troy Tucker. "During his eight years as President/CEO, Dr. Parker has helped vault the NJCAA to national prominence and we are excited about the future of the organization under his leadership."
Reflecting on the extension, Dr. Parker shared, "It is an honor to continue to serve the NJCAA community. More importantly, I am so thankful to the board leadership chaired by Mr. Tucker and the entire board for their support. I am incredibly thankful to Ms. Meadows, Mr. White, Mr. Monaghan, and Mr. Givens, who will continue working alongside me to drive our collective success forward".
