Mark Krug
Assistant Executive Director; Sports Information and Media Relations

Mark Krug joined the NJCAA Staff in September of 2006. He was elevated to Director of Sports Information and Media Relations on June 1, 2008 and then Assistant Executive Director on August 1, 2010.

Before coming to the NJCAA, Krug served as an Information Specialist at Arizona State University in the Parking and Transportation Department. While there he was responsible for all public/media relations aspects of the department as well as producing a monthly newsletter and designing and editing advertising for print publications.

A former NJCAA student-athlete, Krug attended Central Christian College of Kansas and obtained an associates degree in 2000. While at Central Christian he was a two-year letterman on the baseball team, serving as team captain in his sophomore season and received CCC's Mr. Sportsmanship Award.

Upon graduation from Central Christian, Krug continued his education at Northern Arizona University where he received a bachelor of science degree in electronic media in 2002. During his time at Northern Arizona, Krug was the executive sports producer and anchor for NAU's UTV (University Television).

Krug completed his education at the University of Wyoming with master's degree in communication. While at Wyoming he served as a graduate assistant in the athletic media relations office. He was honored with the University of Wyoming Admiral Land Award in 2003. This award is presented year by the Wyoming Athletic Department to the student who has exhibited excellence in promoting Wyoming athletics.

A native of Torrington, Wyoming, Krug lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Stephanie, son Jackson (3) and daughter Halle (1).
