Brookhaven, Rock Valley, Madison Command DIII Volleyball Poll

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Oct. 7, 2009)- Brookhaven College (Texas) continues to dominate the DIII Volleyball poll again this week.  Rock Valley College (Ill.) and Madison Area Technical College (Wisc.) remain neck and neck at the second and third spots, respectfully.

Brookhaven added three to the win column last week after defeating Eastfield (3-0), Richland (3-1) and North Lake (3-0).  Pre-Season All-American Callie Martin leads her team with 7.64 assists per set this season, ranking 11th in the nation.  The Bears will take on all Division I opponents this week with Frank Phillips,  Seminole State and Navarro on the schedule.

Natalie Olsen ranks second in the nation with 3.75 kills per set for No. 2 Rock Valley.  The Golden Eagles defeated Harper (3-1) and swept Triton (3-0). Up next will be Saulk Valley tonight, followed by Elgin tomorrow night.

Madison improved to 19-4 on the season after defeating Milwaukee (3-1) and DuPage (3-0) last week.  The WolkPack will rely on Melissa Ernst (2.73 kps), Skye Kapinus (2.68 kps) and Casee Simms (2.0 kpg) to carry them through games against Harper and Carthage JV before looking to take one from No. 2 Rock Valley on Oct. 13th.
