Colorado Springs, Colo.- In the final Division III Volleyball poll of the 2009 season, Rock Valley College (Ill.) remains No. 1. Defending national champions, Brookhaven College (Texas) holds the No. 2 spot and Ridgewater College (Minn.) claims third for the final time.

Rock Valley maintains the top spot for the third week in a row. The Golden Eagles went 2-0 last week defeating College of Dupage (3-0 and Joliet Junior College (3-0). Freshman Natalie Olsen has averaged 3.72 kills per set this season and teammate Kristy Bourquin has added 3.1 kills per set. Ranked third in the nation, Samantha Smith has put up an outstanding 6.18 digs per set for the Rock Valley, who will continue their season into post season play.

Brookhaven finished out their regular season schedule last week defeating Eastfield (3-1), Richland (3-1) and North Lake (3-0), moving to 24-10 overall. The Bears will be tough in the postseason behind Sarah Terry's 3.62 kills, Isabel Almendarez's 3.56 digs, and Callie Martin's 7.1 assists per set.

Ridgewater holds on to the No. 3 spot for the second straight week after knocking Madison out two weeks ago. The Warriors held off Northland (3-0), Minnesota State-Fergus Falls (3-0) and Rochester (3-2) with the leadership of freshman Emily Roelike's 2.86 kills per set this season. Seedings for the Division III national tournament will be released next week
