Iowa Central Sweeps Indoor Track and Field Championships

Charleston, Ill. -- Iowa Central Community College won both the men's and women's team championships Saturday at the 2012 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held on the campus of Eastern Illinois University. The ICCC women's team won by a wide margin, collecting 187 team points to out distance Central Arizona College's 91 points. The national title is the first for the Lady Triton program in indoor track & field. 

The Triton men tallied 107 team points to Barton County Community College's (Kan.) 82.

In all, six ICCC athletes won individual titles as well as the schools women's 4x400 meter relay team.

Stanley Kebenei - 5,000-meters, 800-meters
James White - High Jump

Women
Ebeissa Nyandwi - 5,000-meters, 3,000-meters
Chantal Duncan - 600-meters, 800-meters
Te'shon Adderley - 1,000-meters
4x400-meter Relay – Sharon Kwarula, Dominique Kimpel, Reyare Thomas, Chantal Duncan
Reyare Thomas - 60-meters
