Former CCBC Catonsville Guard, Jonte "Too Tall" Hall, joins the Harlem Globetrotters
 October 19, 2011

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. – Former CCBC Catonsville Men’s Basketball Player Jonte Hall has been named as one of ten members of the Harlem Globetrotters 2012 rookie class. A Baltimore native, Hall is a graduate of Carver Vocational High School and was a member of the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals 2001-2002 team.

He joins what could be the most electrifying and talented team in the history of the  Globetrotter franchise.  It could even rival the class of 1962, which featured Globetrotter legends Curly Neal, Smokey Gaines, and Jackie Jackson, and the class of 1977that boasted legends Sweet Lou Dunbar and Billy Ray Hobley.

“The Globetrotters are excited to welcome a new generation of stars to carry on the storied tradition of the world’s most exciting basketball team, “ said Globetrotter CEO Kurt Schneider. “This year’s rookie class features some of the most talented and promising players across the world.”

When Jonte “Too Tall” Hall steps on the floor, he will become the shortest player in Globetrotter history at 5’2”.  Hall joins the Globetrotters after one-and-a-half seasons with the rival Washington Generals.

In addition to being a former CCBC Catonsville student athlete, Jonte has also been a Camp Heritage Senior Counselor for the past 9 years. The Globetrotters will be making a Baltimore appearance at the 1st Mariner Arena on Dec. 30, 2011.
