NJCAA Men's Soccer Players of the Week (Oct. 21, 2009)
 October 20, 2009

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Oct. 21, 2009) - Morton College's Rodolfo Fransual and Oakton Community College's John Michael Kulnig have been named the NJCAA Division I Players of the Week. Herkimer County Community College's Ted Criby and Prince George's Community College's Nana Bamfo earn the Division III honors.

Division I
Rodolfo Fransual (Lane Tech; Chicago, Ill.) dominated play last week with two hat tricks against Daley College (5-1) and Carl Sandburg College (5-1).  The forward added 11 shots over the two games and currently ranks nationally with 35 points (15 goals, 5 assists) on the season.

John Michael Kulnig (Maine South; Park Ridge, Ill.) led Oakton Community College to their second consecutive Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference title last week.  The keeper stopped five of six shots as Oakton defeated Morton College 3-1.  The only goal came on a penalty kick. He has given up only two goals in regional play and currently ranks third in the nation with a .537 goals against average.

 Division III

Ted Cribley (Notre Dame; Sheffield, England) recorded five assists in the past two games for Herkimer County Community College.  He assisted the game winning goal in a tough 3-2 win over Tompkins-Cortland.  He then finished out the week with all three assists in a 3-0 win over DI Monroe Community College.

Nana Bamfo (Largo; Largo, Md.) led the defense as Prince George's Community College beat No. 13 Howard Community College last week.  The 6'3" sweeper allowed only one shot in the 3-1 win. His aggressive play and skill helped PGCC claim the top spot in their region.  Bamfo leads a defense that has allowed only six goals over 14 games.  He also recorded three goals this season off a corner kick, penalty kick and direct kick.
