World University Games Update

The NJCAA All-Star team representing the USA at the World University Games finished pool play with a 3-1 record, advancing to the medal round tournament. In their opening contest Team USA fell to Korea 6-5 after holding a lead through most of the game. Team USA bounced back from the first round loss to defeat Australia 3-0 (8 innings); Japan 3-2 and the Czech Republic 3-1 to round out pool play.
With a second-place finish in Pool B, Team USA will face Canada (first-place team in Pool A) in the opening game of the medal-round tournament. The other opening round game will be first-place Pool B Korea against second-place Pool A Chinese Taipei.
