No. 10 Lady Bobcats nip Jacksonville, 1-0

RAYMOND – Danielle Fortin’s goal at 74:45 lifted the 10th-ranked Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats to a 1-0 victory over Jacksonsville College (Texas) here Saturday afternoon at Tom Shepherd Field on the campus of Hinds Community College.

In the men’s game, JCJC and Jacksonville fought to a 0-0 tie in double overtime.

The Bobcat teams resume MACJC South Division play on Tuesday with games at Pearl River Community College. The women’s game begins at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 7 p.m.

Jacksonville hosts Paris College (Texas) on Friday.

Lady Bobcats 1, Lady Jaguars 0

Fortin’s goal came off an assist by Lindy Tabor with just over 15 minutes remaining to play.

Briahna Dickerson was in goal for JCJC and was credited with four saves.

Jacksonville had five shots in the game, compared to three for JCJC. JCJC had three corner kicks, while Jacksonville had two. Each team committed three fouls.

The Lady Bobcats are now 11-0 on the year, while Jacksonville is 2-7.

Bobcats 0, Jaguars 0 (2OT)

Gabe Brown was in goal for JCJC and was credited with one save.

The Bobcats took five shots in the game, one on goal. The Jaguars took three shots, one on goal. JCJC had two corner kicks, while Jacksonville had one. The Jaguars were called for five fouls, while JCJC was called for three.

JCJC is now 8-1-1 on the year, while the Jaguars are 2-5-2.
