Rough Match for Ancilla Volleyball
October 4, 2013
MUSKEGON, MI – The Jayhawks of Muskegon Community College remain at #8 in the NJCAA rankings, as they defeated the Chargers 25-18, 25-16, 26-24.
Ancilla failed to find their rhythm early in the game, which proved to be detrimental in three sets. Leading the Chargers’ offense, Courtney Griffith had twelve assists while Suzanne Grimm provided nine. Grimm also dished out four kills and an additional four came courtesy of Jessica Moore. Picking up eleven digs for Ancilla, Hannah Sneed was tops defensively.
Charger coach Lana Singleton emphasized, “Muskegon is a great team and we had some instances where we played well, unfortunately the night didn’t end in our favor.”
In a conference match up, Tuesday, October 8, Ancilla will host Jackson College as the Chargers hope to improve their MCCAA record.
