DII Men's Golf Championship to be decided at Goose Pond Colony May 21-24
 May 20, 2013

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. – For the sixth time in nine years, Goose Pond Colony, a municipally owned resort and golf facility, will host the NJCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship. The 2013 edition of the event will be held May 21 – 24 on the Colony Course near Scottsboro. Participants from 43 member colleges will take part in the four-day tournament.

“We are thrilled to host the NJCAA Championship at Goose Pond Colony and encourage everyone to come out to watch these talented collegiate golfers and teams compete for the top spots,” says General Manager Lyle Sosebee. “We always enjoy hosting events that contribute to the development of student-athletes’ skills and those that bring the community together to support their efforts.”

Results after each round will be posted at www.mccaa.org/f/0/3/Golf/2013_Golf_Nationals.php thanks to the efforts of Michigan CC Athletic Association Sports Information Director Tod Hess. View the latest NJCAA DII Men's Golf Rankings here.

The tournament is open to the public. Spectators can purchase an individual day pass for $10 or a four-round tournament pass for $25. Golf carts will also be available to spectators for a $20 rental fee.

The Colony Course is a George Cobb design that opened in 1971 and is enjoyed by pros and amateurs alike. With its natural layout and views of the Tennessee River from every hole, the course has received numerous accolades over the past few years including "Most Fun Course to Play in North Alabama" by the Dixie Section of the PGA and a feature in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” with a 4-star rating.
