Home Loss for TC3 Lacrosse
 April 2, 2013

DRYDEN, N.Y. – A slow start and a cold finish spelled defeat for the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team Monday as the Panthers fell to visiting Finger Lakes Community College 19-5. TC3 is now 1-5 on the year while Finger Lakes improves to 5-6.

The home team fell into a big hole early, with Finger Lakes jumping ahead 8-1 after the first quarter. The Panthers seemed to right things in the second, scoring four of the first seven goals to narrow the lead to 11-5, but Finger Lakes put two more away to end the half with a 13-5 lead.

Zach Brown (Corning East H.S./Corning) had a busy day in goal, registering twenty-five saves. Austin Recor (Homer H.S./Homer), Mike Hartnett (Cortland H.S./Cortland), Stephen Park (Homer H.S./Homer), Chad Timmons (Cortland H.S./Cortland), and Lon Palmer (Oneida H.S./Oneida) each scored for the Panthers.

TC3 hosts Hudson Valley Community College Wednesday at 4 p.m.
