Warriors baseball shuts out Shawnee in Ullin
 March 29, 2013

ULLIN, Ill. – Rend Lake College baseball shut out Shawnee, 10-0, Thursday in Ullin. The Warriors improve to 16-10 with the win, which marks the midway point in the regular season.

Nick Andros (Tunnel Hill) improved to 3-2 on the mound for RLC. He struck out four, gave up three hits and walked only one in six innings. Kyle Lautner (Elberfield, Ind.) gave up one hit and struck out two as the closer. Tirey Burch (Santa Claus, Ind.) went 2-3 with three RBI, including a home run and sacrifice fly. Brady Wright (Jonesboro) had a RBI triple while Bryant Shute (Pinckneyville) and Zack Jones (Mt. Vernon) each had two RBI. Brian Deaton (Mt. Vernon) went 2-4 with a triple. The Warriors had nine hits overall and committed no errors.

Rend Lake stole four bases - Jones, Wright and Choate with two.
