The Vincennes Trailblazers (30-2) punched their ticket to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament in Hutchinson, KS, tonight with a 76-65 win over Southwestern Illinois in the title game of the NJCAA Region 24 Tournament in Ina, IL.

Sophomore Deshawn Delaney had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way for the top-seeded and NJCAA No. 7 Trailblazers. Freshman Devin Foster had 15 points and sophomore Monte Burney finished with 11.

The second-seeded Blue Storm were led by sophomore Tony Bradley's 19 points and freshman JaQuail Townser had 15.

Delaney was named the tournament's MVP and VU's Todd Franklin is the NJCAA District 16 Coach of the Year.

This will be VU's 28 appearance at the national championship tournament, the most by any NJCAA Div. I program.
