TC3 Men's Basketball Win Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Panthers Fall on Road to Onondaga
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball team eight-game winning streak came to an end Saturday with a 96-87 loss at Onondaga Community College. TC3’s first loss in Mid-State Athletic Conference play drops the Panthers to 12-4 overall and 4-1 in the MSAC. Onondaga improves to 12-7 overall and 3-2 in the MSAC.
The Panthers led 51-47 at the half but couldn’t keep up in the second half. Onondaga rallied for the win, in large part to an astonishing 28-of-31 performance at the free throw line. TC3 also had a great night at the charity stripe, making 14-of-15, but couldn’t get to the line enough to keep up.
Ten different Panthers scored, led by Tyseem Lyles (Health Professions H.S./Brooklyn) with 23 points to go with four steals and three assists. Adam Park (Spencer-Van Etten H.S./Lockwood) had 12 points and Jaanai Beckford (Northstar Christian Academy/Yonkers) had 11 points , nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocked shots.
TC3 returns home Wednesday to host Cayuga Community College.
