FULTON, MS – ICC bounced back from a heartbreaking 11-10 11-inning loss to earn a split with Holmes Community College with a 13-0 win in 5 innings on Saturday.

The Indians (17-17, 6-10 MACJC North) left 15 runners stranded and bases loaded three times, including in the bottom of the ninth when a diving catch by the Bulldogs ended the inning and the chance at the victory.

In Game 2, Luke Gibbs (Oxford) and Austin Welch (Hamilton) gave the Indians a 6-0 with a pair of triples before Ethan Gill (Pontotoc) scored on a bases loaded walk issued to Tanner Poole (Amory) capped off an eight-run second inning.

Hayden Williams (Amory) capped off the scoring output with a two-run triple to held the Indians earn the run-rule victory and the season series, 3-1, against the Bulldogs.

The Indians are three games out of fourth place with eight North Division left to play with home doubleheaders against league leading #5 East Mississippi (14-4), third place #16 Mississippi Delta (11-7) and road twin bills at fourth place Northwest (9-7) and seventh place Coahoma (0-16).
