CENTRAL FLORIDA TAKES SECOND STRAIGHT FROM SANTA FE, 9-4
 April 11, 2014

Box Score

Ocala, FL – The Santa Fe Saints fought back from a 4-0 deficit to tie the score in the top seventh inning, but a five run bottom of the seventh sealed their fate as the College of Central Florida pulled away for the 9-4 victory.

Connor Rooney started on the hill and allowed four earned runs in 6.1 of work.  Derek Vail entered the game in the seventh with the score 5-4 and surrendered three straight hits to give CF their 9-5 final margin.  Nick DiBartolomeo and Chase Julius combined to pitch the last inning.

The Saints (20-16, 8-9 MFC) runs came in the sixth on a two RBI double by Roger Gonzalez and in the seventh on a CF error and a RBI single by Lusignan.

Gonzalez finished 3-for-4 with two RBI, and George Ragsdale was 2-for-3.

Santa Fe will get another shot at the Patriots on Saturday, April 12 in Gainesville at 3:00 PM.
