Seven Straight Wins for TC3 Men's Basketball; Panthers Win at Cayuga, 84-72

AUBURN, N.Y. – The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team ran its winning streak to seven games Wednesday with an 84-72 win at Cayuga Community College. The win improves TC3 to 5-0 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference and 11-5 overall. Cayuga is now 2-4 in the MSAC and 7-13 overall.

The game was close in the first half, with TC3 taking a 33-29 lead into the break. TC3 pushed the lead to double digits early in the second half, and kept the margin the rest of the way despite pressure from Cayuga.

Matt Warchocki (Owego Free Academy/Owego) stayed hot from three-point range, connecting on six as part of his 19-point night. Devin Redden (St. Mary’s H.S./Buffalo) also had 19 points, including 12 on four three-pointers. Tyseem Lyles (Health Professions H.S./Brooklyn) chipped in 13 points and Laszlo Hajnoczi (Hunter-Tannersville H.S./Tannersville) added 10 points in the win.

TC3 hosts Finger Lakes Community College Saturday.
