BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team closed the first half strong and built on the lead in the second half while cruising to a 79-51 win at SUNY Broome Saturday. The win snaps a four-game skid and leaves TC3 with a record of 1-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference and 3-7 overall. Broome is now 0-2 in the MSAC and 1-10 overall.
Broome opened the game with an early eight-point lead, but TC3 turned things around to race to a 42-23 lead into the half. The lead continued to grow in the second half as TC3 picked up its first conference win.

Jaquela Lockwood (Fowler H.S./Syracuse) had a huge day for the Panthers, posting a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Meghan Ideman (Moravia H.S./Moravia) scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds while Nicole Goodwin (Newfield H.S./Newfield) had 14 points and five boards.
