NJCAA Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Nov. 11-17)
 November 20, 2013

ASA (N.Y.) sophomore guard Brittany Jackson, Des Moines Area (Iowa) sophomore forward Carlee Schumacher and Rock Valley (Ill.) sophomore guard Marquiesha Grant have been named NJCAA Women’s Basketball Players of the Week for games Nov. 11-17.     

  





DIVISION I PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Brittany Jackson – ASA
Guard / 5’ 11” / Soph.

Jackson – a transfer from Georgia Tech – averaged six steals per game last week and posted a school-record 35 points against Brookdale (N.J.).

DIVISION II PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Carlee Schumacher – Des Moines Area
Forward / 6’ 2” / Soph.      

Against Illinois Central, Schumacher hit a school-record 21 free throws and totaled 38 points – the second-most in program history.

DIVISION III PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Marquiesha Grant – Rock Valley
Guard / 5’ 8” / Soph.

Despite falling 84-81 to top 10 DII program Kishwaukee (Ill.), Grant led the Golden Eagles with a double-double performance.
