?DALLAS, Ga. – The SPC Texan and Lady Texan cross country teams competed in their final competition Saturday morning with the running of the NJCAA Half-Marathon Championships on the Silver Comet Trail in Dallas, Ga.
With hopes of claiming another trophy, the season did not end quite as the Texan and Lady Texan harriers had probably hoped with the Texans finishing fifth as a team and the Lady Texans seventh.

Colton Hollis (1:12:48.96) and Jose Martinez (1:14:28.40) rounded out the Texan team scoring with 16th and 21st place finishes, giving South Plains a total score of 40 points.
Iowa Central swept the top two individual spots and finished with 10 points to win the meet. SPC’s Region 5 rival El Paso finished third in the meet.
Pampa native J’Cee Holmes (1:30:07.23) led the Lady Texans with a 12th place finish and was followed closely by Lubbock Coronado graduate and SPC sophomore Maddie Kauffman (1:32:26.70) in 14th.
