JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 2, 2013) – Ashley Dobson tossed a complete-game four-hitter and Tallahassee Community College picked up a 3-1 win in game two against Florida State College at Jacksonville to earn a split in Saturday’s doubleheader with the Blue Wave.

After dropping the opener, 3-0, Tallahassee turned to Dobson in the nightcap and the freshman right-hander delivered a masterful performance, allowing an unearned run and striking out nine.

The Eagles gave Dobson all the run support she needed in their first at-bat when Brenda Santana’s two-out single scored Bree Murillo and Ashley Smith.

Tallahassee delivered another two-out run in the second when Krista Garcia singled home Smith to extend the lead to 3-0.

Krysta Hoani took the loss in game one for Tallahassee.

Offensively, Marina Cobbs was 1-for-3.

Tallahassee will return to action on Tuesday when it hosts Santa Fe College for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
