TC3 Women Upset Victims on the Road
February 7, 2013CORNING, N.Y. – The Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team fell victim to a road upset in Mid-State Athletic Conference action Wednesday, losing at Corning Community College by a final of 60-52. The Panthers entered the night tied for third place in the MSAC, but dropped to fourth with a record of 5-5 in conference and 7-13 overall. Corning, the sixth-place team entering the game, is now 2-7 in the MSAC and 4-18 overall. The score was tied at the half, and was close most of the second half before Corning pulled away in the closing minutes. Chelsi Rosa (Bainebridge-Guilford H.S./Bainbridge) led the Panthers with 16 points to go with seven rebounds. Becca Holton Tomasdottir (Cape Fear Academy (N.C.)/Reykjavik, Iceland) tallied 13 points, three assists, three steals, and three rebounds. Meghan Ideman (Moravia H.S./Moravia) added nine points and nine rebounds. TC3 has the weekend off before hosting Onondaga Community College Wednesday. |
