Tuscaloosa, AL – The #6 Shelton State Lady Buccaneers won 2 games this week to remain one of only two undefeated teams in the NJCAA.  Their record now stands at 22-0. 

Shelton State first took care of Snead State (11-10, 1-3 North League) at home 82-33.  Brittany Agee led all scorers with 13 points and pulled down 6 rebounds.  Brianna Lancaster added 12 points and 4 rebounds, while Sharin Rivers made off with 5 steals.  Thirteen of 14 players scored for the Lady Buccaneers.

The Lady Buccaneers also had 20 assists and 25 steals. 

Diamond Elston led the Lady Parsons with 12 points.

That win was followed up by an 83-53 road win at Wallace State-Hanceville.  Shelton State led at half time, 41-22. 

Four players scored in double figures for the Lady Buccaneers led by Brianna Lancaster’s 15 points.  Quenisha Lockett added 12 points, Dominique Henley chipped in 11, and Sharin Rivers had 10 points and dished out 7 assists.

Shelton State was 34-66 (51.5%) from the field including 8-17 (47.1%) from 3-point range.  They also had 23 assists and 17 steals, while causing 32 turnovers by the Lady Lions. 

The Lady Buccaneers lead the nation in points (87.3), FG (35), FG attempts (77.1), assists (23.2), and steals (22.3) per game. 

The Lady Lions (15-7, 2-2 North League) were led by Ashley Nance’s 10 points and 11 rebounds. 

Shelton State (22-0, 4-0 North League) will next take on Southern Union State College Thursday, February 7th, in Wadley, Alabama.
