TC3 Men's Basketball Rolls Past Broome, 84-47

Panthers Now 16-4 Overall and 8-1 in MSAC
DRYDEN, N.Y. – A dominating performance by the Tompkins Cortland Community College men’s basketball team provided the Panthers with an 84-47 home win over Broome Community College Saturday. The victory leaves TC3 with a record of 16-4 overall and 8-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Broome falls to 6-17 overall and 3-6 in the MSAC.
After an opening basketball by the visitors, it was all TC3. Devin Redden (St. Mary’s H.S./Buffalo) drained his first three-pointer off the day to make it 3-2 and the Panthers never looked back. A 25-5 run midway through the half blew things open as the Panthers took a 55-27 lead into halftime. The margin grew to a high of 39 in the second half before settling in at the final of 84-47.
For the game, TC3 out-rebounded Broome 50-32 and connected on 46.8% from the field. All 11 TC3 players that dressed for the game scored, led by Redden with 15 points that included a 3-for-5 performance from behind the arc. Brandon Reed (Corcoran H.S./Syracuse) finished with 13 points and five rebounds and Laszlo Hajnoczi (Hunter-Tannersville H.S./Tannersville) and Shaquille Duberry (All Hollows H.S./Manhattan) each posted ten points.
TC3 travels to Corning Community College Wednesday.
