Ordway Leads TC3 Women Past Cayuga 70-41

Freshman Posts 24 Points and 19 Rebounds

DRYDEN, N.Y. – A monster game from Audrey Kate Ordway (Dryden H.S./Dryden) powered the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team past Cayuga Community College 70-41 Wednesday night. TC3 evens its Mid-State Athletic Conference record at 3-3 while improving to 5-11 overall. Cayuga drops to 1-5 in the MSAC and 3-16 overall.

TC3 jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back. The home team pushed the spread to 17 at halftime, 37-20, and didn’t slow down in the second. Ordway led the way with a huge double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds while also blocking three shots and recording two steals and two assists. Meghan Ideman (Moravia H.S./Moravia) poured in 18 points and Becca Holton Tomasdottir (Cape Fear Academy (N.C.)/Reykjavik, Iceland) had eight points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

TC3 plays at Finger Lakes Community College Saturday.
