Ancilla Lady Chargers Drop to Lansing
 January 11, 2013

LANSING, MI – The Lady Chargers basketball team lost a tough game 61-46 to Lansing Community College.  The Lady Chargers are now 3-8 in regular season play and 0-2 MCCAA.

Coach Beason stated, “It is hard to win a game when shooting 25% from the floor.  We were tied at halftime but just ran out of energy in the end.”

Top performances were turned in from Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) with 13 points and 20 rebounds.  Sydney Beaune (Saulte Sainte Marie, MI) contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Brittany Himes (Plymouth, IN) added 15 points.

Coach Beason concluded, “It was our second game in three days playing with five players.  They were exhausted and that showed in our shooting percentage."

The Lady Chargers continue MCCAA play when they host Lake Michigan College on Saturday, January 12th with tipoff at 5:30p.m.

Ancilla College enrolls 500 students in 17 degree programs ranging from accounting to nursing. It was founded by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in 1937, and is located 2 miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth.
