PSC Pirates Go 4-0 During Thanksgiving Week

Pensacola State (8-2) defeated Alabama powerhouse, Wallace State Hanceville by a score of 65-52 in their final game of the Commodore Thanksgiving Class in Panama City, FL. The pirates used good defense to hold Wallace State Hanceville to just 40% shooting for the game. Pensacola got the lead at 11-9 with 14 minutes left in the first and never trailed again. The pirates were led by freshman Dawuud Salaam with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Sophomore Kent Langham also had a good day with 10 points, and 4 rebounds of his own.
Pensacola State (7-2) handled Walters State Community College by a score of 84-70 in their first game of the Commodore Thanksgiving Classic in Panama City, FL. The pirates were hot in the first half as they were 7 for 9 from 3-point range and finished 13 for 23 for the game. Freshman Dawuud Salaam led all scorers in the game with 19 points while sophomore Devin Wilson added 16 points with a 5 for 7 performance from the 3-point line. Sophomore Josh Turner also had a stellar night with a 15 point, 6 assist, and 4 steal effort.
Pensacola State (6-2) defeated Baton Rouge Community College by a score of 61-47 in their final game of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Classic in Perkinston, MS. Four pirates had double digit points in the victory with sophomore Devin Wilson leading the way with 15 points. Sophomore Josh Turner added 13 points while Qiydar Davis and DeAngelo Kirkland each had 11 points apiece.
Pensacola State (5-2) defeated Holmes County Community College by a score of 50-49 in their first game of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Classic in Perkinston, MS. The pirates were led by freshman Dawuud Salaam who had a team high 16 points and 4 assists. Sophomore Josh Turner was the only other Pirate in double digits as he contributed 10 points for the pirates.
