VU Trailblazers completely dismantle Earle C. Clements, 106-37

The NJCAA No. 6 Vincennes Trailblazers blasted Earle C. Clements, 106-37, Friday night on the first night of the Beckes Sodexo Classic at the VU P.E. Complex.
VU (5-0) led 41-15 at the half and then scored 65 second half points as sophomore Deshawn Delaney rang up 19 of his game-high 33 after intermission.The Trailblazers also got 15 points from freshman Devin Foster, 13 by sophomore Darius Carter, 11 by sophomore Tyran de Lattibeaudiere and 10 from freshman Paul Knapp.
Knapp was playing in his first game of the season after sitting out the first four with the likelihood of redshirting. However, VU Coach Todd Franklin put the Flora, IL, product in the game because of his 3-point shooting ability because the Trailblazers had struggled lately shooting the ball. Knapp responded with a pair of treys and hit both of his free throws as part of his double-figure scoring debut.VU will face Mid-Michigan on Saturday, the second and final night of the Beckes Sodexo Classic.
That game begins at 7 p.m. Earle C. Clements and John A. Logan will play at 5 p.m. Saturday.
