MOBERLY GREYOUNDS IMPROVE TO 3-0 WITH 2 WINS IN WEST PLAINS CLASSIC

The Moberly Area Community College Men’s Basketball Greyhounds improved their early season record to 3-0 with three wins in three nights to start the year. After opening at home with a 126-49 victory over the Culver Stockton JV’s, the Greyhounds hit the road for two games in the West Plains College Holiday Inn Express Classic. Opening the classic vs. Labette College (Kansas), MACC opened up an 21-3 lead after 6 minutes of the contest and proceeded to expand the margin to 46-17 at the half. After increasing the lead to 55-20 in the opening minutes of the second half, the Greyhounds coasted to a convincing 86-55 victory. They were lead in scoring by 6’5” sophomore forward Mike Anderson with 19 points and 16 rebounds while freshman guard Evan Singletary added 18 points coming off the bench. 6’4” sophomore wing Zeke Williams contributed 11 points to the winning cause as Moberly hit 11 three pointers for the game. |
