Ancilla soccer Suffers Loss to Jackson
October 11, 2012
DONALDSON, IN – The Chargers were defeated by Jackson Community College 3-1 yesterday.
Coach Gallagher stated, “It was frustrating to go up early on Jackson and then lose the lead. We have to be tougher in that situation when at home to hold on for a better result.”
Carlos Ramirez (El Paso, TX) started the scoring off with a rocket of a shot from thirty yards out on a direct free kick that found the far post. Jackson’s Sadik Baarbe was a force up top and created many chances; including the first goal for the visitors who scored three goals in twenty minutes.
Gallagher commented, “I know our season has been up and down but we have to look to the next game and concentrate on how we will fight for a result that can better our chances for playoffs. Our guys need to take the approach that our season is on the line.”
The Chargers will have some time to rest before wrapping up their season the weekend of October 19-21against Schoolcraft College and Muskegon Community College.
