October 5, 2012
DONALDSON, IN – The Lady Chargers dropped a conference match to Muskegon Community College last night with scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-20. Ancilla now has a regular season record of 12-11 and 3-6 in the MCCAA.
Coach Singleton stated, “Our girls struggled last night losing to a tough Muskegon team that I felt played very well. We had difficulty with serve receive and just did not cover the court well on defense.”
Singleton added, “Kristen Trudell (Horton, MI) had 18 assists. Richardson had 8 kills and Hayley Mavrick (Greentown, IN) and Keri Friend (Rossville, IN) added 6 apiece. Our hitting percentage was good; we just did not dig enough balls to hit very much. Leading the dig category was Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) and Kelly Duke (Vicksburg, MI) with 6 apiece.”
The Chargers see action next tonight when they host Goshen JV October 5th at 6p.m.
Ancilla College enrolls 500 students in 17 degree programs ranging from accounting to nursing. It was founded by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in 1937, and is located 2 miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth.
