ECCC Soccer Warriors, MCC Tie in 2OTs

Another soccer match ended in a tie for the East Central Community College Warriors who battled Meridian Community College to a scoreless tie in two overtimes Wednesday night on the MCC campus.
The Soccer Warriors are now 7-3-3 overall and remain 2-1-1 in the MACJC North Division following the non-division matchup.
In women’s action, the Lady Warriors were blanked 2-0 and fell to 2-9 overall. The EC women are 2-1-1 in league play.
Both squads return to division action Friday, Oct. 5 against Holmes Community College. Game times are 2 and 4 p.m. on the Ridgeland campus. The Bulldogs lead the division at 3-1-1. Their only division loss was a 1-0 setback to East Central.
The Lady Warriors and Warriors travel to Jones County Junior College Sunday, Oct. 7 in matches rescheduled from August 28 due to inclement weather. Game times are set for 5 and 7 p.m. on the Ellisville campus.
