Ancilla Lady Chargers Fall to Kalamazoo

DONALDSON, IN – The Lady Chargers dropped a conference match to Kalamazoo Valley Community College last night with scores of 25-20, 25-24, 18-25, 17-25, 14-16. Ancilla now has a regular season record of 12-10 and 3-5 in the MCCAA.
Coach Singleton stated, “Our girls battled hard last night and I am proud of their efforts. Kelly Duke (Vicksburg, MI) had an outstanding night, maybe her best game to date. Duke put forth a tremendous effort with 16 kills, 13 digs, 2 block solos, served well and passed serve well.”
Singleton added, “Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) led the defense with 16 digs and a great effort. Jessica Moore (Walkerton, IN) had an outstanding night offensively having a 32% hitting/kill percentage. Kristen Trudell (Horton, MI) had 49 assists.”
The Chargers see action again on the road against Muskegon on October 4th.
Ancilla College enrolls 500 students in 17 degree programs ranging from accounting to nursing. It was founded by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ in 1937, and is located 2 miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth.
