NJCAA Announces 2011-12 All-Academic Teams

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- NJCAA Headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo., today released the 2011-2012 NJCAA All-Academic Teams.
450 teams qualified for academic team accolades. Nearly 60,000 student-athletes competed in the NJCAA for the 2011-2012 academic year on 3,500+ teams in 28 different sports.
The 2011-2012 season marks the 29th year the NJCAA has recognized the success of its student-athletes in the classroom. With minimal changes, the NJCAA academic awards program has been in place since 1983.

Academic Team Awards
Teams that have the highest overall GPA for their sport are designated as the 2011-12 NJCAA (Sport) Academic Team of the Year. Example: 2011-12 NJCAA Baseball Academic Team of the Year.
Teams that qualify with an overall team GPA above 3.0 are designated as a 2011-12 NJCAA (Sport) All-Academic Team. Example: 2011-12 NJCAA Men’s Basketball All-Academic Team.
