HERKIMER, N.Y. -- Onondaga Community College (N.Y.) claimed its third consecutive NJCAA Championship in men's lacrosse, and fifth in six years, with a 12-9 victory over CCBC - Essex (N.J.) Sunday (May 15th) on the campus of Herkimer County CC (N.Y.).

The game was tied at 9-9 with a little over five minutes left in the contest when Onondaga scored three unanswered goals to pull away for the victory. OCC’s go-ahead goal was tallied by Conor Regin, who scored after a 70-yard run.  Matt Crough then scored his third goal of the game and Caleb Wiles netted his third goal of the second half to make the final score 12-9.

The Essex Knights gave the Lasers all they had in the title game. In wet, rainy conditions Essex's Dixon Green netted his third goal of the first half to put Essex up 4-1. However, the Lasers fought back and cut the Essex lead to 5-3 at halftime.
