NJCAA Men's Soccer Players of the Week (Oct. 28, 2009)

Colorado Springs, Colo. (Oct. 28, 2009) - Young Harris College's Adrian Kalmmer and St. Louis Community College-Meremec's Chris Eason have been named the NJCAA Division I Players of the Week. Brookdale Community College's Joe Parella earns the Division III honor.

Adrian Klammer scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Gordon College. The Austrian native has now in scored seven of nine games this season after coming back from an injury. On the season, the sophomore has 23 points, including 10 goals and three assists. |

Chris Eason (Lindberg; St. Louis, Mo.) allowed only one goal on seven shots in a 5-1 win over MCC-Maple Woods. The sophomore goalie has improved with each game this season and has a .756 goals against average this season, ranking him 17th in the nation with 55 saves on 62 shots. He is 8-1 overall this season. |

Joe Parella (Howell; Howell, N.J.) recorded a hat trick against Raritan Valley (5-1) last week to break Brookdale Community College's career goals record with 44. He broke the previous record of 43 set by Mike Lonigro over 20 years ago during the 1986-1987 season. Later in the week he had a goal and an assist during regulation and a overtime penalty kick to break a 3-3 tie against Middlesex to continue in the post season. Parella now has 23 goals on the season and 45 for his career.
