Hillsborough Gets Revenge Against Hutchinson

#10 Hillsborough CC prevails in an intense rematch against #13 Hutchinson CC in the final of the The Lady Hawk Kickoff Classic in Tampa, Florida.
HCC rebounded from Thursday's loss to Hutchinson with a 4-set win, closing out the 4th set 25-18. "We understood it would be difficult to contain the Hutch OH1, so we focused on defending some of their other weapons and trying to stay in system on our side. It was a great defensive match. Hutchinson is well-coached and disciplined. We ballhandled a bit better than we did on Thursday, and I think that contributed to the win," remarked Hillsborough Coach, Gary Larkin. Hillsborough Freshman OH Stefanie Gonzales had 17 kills, and Sophomore MB Danielle Priest added 7 kills and 6.5 blocks. Sophomore Setter Lindsey Rees had 51 assists.
